Clifford 'Indecently Touched Child In Hot Tub'

A woman has accused Max Clifford of indecently touching her while they shared a hot tub when she was 12 years old.

The woman, who cannot be named, told his trial that her family had been staying at the same villas as the Cliffords while on holiday in Spain in 1983.

She explained how she often played in the pool with the celebrity publicist and his daughter Louise.

She said Clifford would play a "tickling game" which she said seemed to be innocent: "He would always make it look like harmless fun."

They also visited a separate hot tub "two or three times" with Clifford's daughter but the woman said she distinctly remembered the final visit when she was alone with Clifford.

She said the celebrity publicist continued the tickling game and then put his hand down her bikini bottoms before placing her hand on his groin.

Clifford's QC Richard Horwell dismissed the suggestion as false but the woman said: "I don't want to be here today. There is no way I would make up something like this."

The hot tub allegation is not on the indictment that Clifford faces but is part of the prosecution's supporting evidence.

Earlier, the court heard allegations from another woman who said Clifford told her he had slept with US superstar Diana Ross.

The woman, who cannot be named, said she was an aspiring fashion model when she met Max Clifford at his New Bond Street offices in the early 1980s.

She said: "I was trying to follow my dream of being a model."

She said Clifford showed her framed newspaper front pages and pictures of celebrities on the walls and then claimed "he had slept with Diana Ross".

Clifford clearly shook his head in the dock when the claim about the American singer was made.

The witness added: "For me, Diana Ross was a very beautiful, famous woman, I couldn't imagine why she would sleep with him."

The former model claimed Mr Clifford then said: "I need to see your figure....I need you to take your dress off."

The woman says she eventually did take her dress off despite reservations about her underwear and said Clifford started saying "Oh my God, what a turn on."

She alleged that Clifford was turned on about the holes in her tights that she was wearing.

The woman said he groped her chest area and arms, adding: "At this point I'm feeling utterly stupid, totally in shock, I'm just not doing anything."

The publicist then performed a sex act while he took a telephone call from his wife, the former model added.

Unlike other witnesses, the woman said she remembered Clifford as "well endowed."

Her detailed descriptions of the sex acts led to several jury members collapsing in laughter in court prompting an adjournment.

After they had composed themselves the judge told them he understood their outburst but asked them to "settle down and remember where we are and what we are dealing with".

After the alleged sex acts, she claimed Clifford insisted she should come to dinner with his wife and American film producer Cubby Broccoli.

Clifford allegedly told her that Mr Broccoli could get her a role on a James Bond film if she performed sexual favours for him.

The woman told the court she "loathed" the Bond movies and had simply wanted to be a fashion model.

The woman said she just wanted to get out of Clifford's office and then later ignored multiple calls from him to go to the dinner.

Clifford denies 11 charges of indecent assault against seven women and girls, and his trial at Southwark Crown Court continues.
